I have recently moved into a new shared studio space and I am surrounded by graphic designers, app designers and other very clever and creative people. I felt a little self conscious at first but feel settled in now and I am happy that my toys get lots of positive attention from my co-workers.
This week I have designed a new character and have nearly finished a wonderful owl like character!
It’s time to make some room on the shelves of the little Ooh la Lapin shop. Most toys have a generous 50% off so its a great opportunity to treat yourself to a new friend or save one for someone special as a gift! Handmade cards are also in the sale at only 90p each.
The sale only lasts for one week so I hope you find a happy stitchy friend to love!
The shop now has a series of plush ‘British Seabirds’ backed in vintage fabric and some nifty greetings cards!
Spring is here and we travelled to East Sussex to visit Lewes Castle. A happy and relaxed weekend was had by all.
Im just starting back at working on my toys again and have been hard at work on a beautiful range of cats and bears. They should be available soon at the wonderful Flo & Stan boutique.

Yes it’s the end of another week! A hard fought and won week which saw me visit hospital twice, nearly lose my house and spend most of it feeling crappity crap.
However today I am going to make cinnamon buns, finish sewing my next batch of toys for Flo & Stan and you can kick back and enjoy the video my boyfriend made for Southsea Coffee Co.

Im also loving these beautiful toys from Adantine on etsy.
As a toymaker I am consistently surprised and delighted by the range of handmade/designer toys. From familiar animals to creatures from the imagination each one is pure joy.
I’m looking forward to finishing off a few toys this week for the opening of Untold Story where they will be for sale. I hope they find new homes where they will bring smiles and stories of there own.
As I have been enjoying some time off I have been able to get back on the crafting hype. Evenings have consisted of crocheting and the daytime has been made up of sewing lovely toys.
All toys will be available to buy soon from Flo and Stan.
With time at a premium and various projects going on its sometimes hard to find time to make! Im currently gearing up to project manage Rubble Office Portsmouth with my creative partner and boyfriend Josh Knill under the banner of Tinder Wolf our collaboration. I have also been appointed curator and gallery manager of The Gold Room Gallery at Room 237 in Southsea, so its vital I actually have time to make stuff and be an awesome mum.
Some cute little ladies going on sale soon in the beautiful boutique that is Flo and Stan.
If you have a couple of spare minutes please go over to blablakids and check out the collection of knitted toy animals and other lovely things. Oh my golly gosh I do so want one or five?
