This week we got a miniature Dachshund puppy and called her Margot. The sun has been shining and the house is coming together too. I love my little owl ornament my friend Sarah gave me for my birthday and have been hanging out in the Southsea Coffee Co for the best coffee and pan au raisin in Portsmouth.
I also made a yummy roast vegetable and goats cheese pizza and teamed it with a colourful summer salad. Summer eating is so good and so is a great read like The Simple Things magazine. The article on the London Underground was wonderful and I really want to get hold of some of the prints of poster to display in my home. The London Transport Museum shop has a wonderful selection of posters and other deign pieces.
Hello, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day! It’s been great having time off recently with the family and we have all been nursing each other back to health. Winter time sadly comes with a few sniffles, aches and pains. Roll on Spring I say.
I have had time to reflect on how I will take myself forward as an artist in 2013, I’m hoping to preview my work at more high profile events like ‘Made’ and ‘Craftacular‘. Also packaging designs for limited runs of toys and design service for bespoke requests. So lots for me to be getting on with.
As always scouring the internet, books and the world outside for inspiration is a daily routine for me. Here are some things filling my mind with goodness at the moment.
I found this on Tumblr and sadly do not know who the artist is!

Again I am unsure of the artist.

Vintage Bunny figures Little Red Polkadots
I almost squealed today when Josh bought to my attention this beautiful paper in Paperchase. One sheet features cats and the other birds, I knew instantly they would look perfect behind the cube shelves in our lounge. Also I am a sucker for anything kitsch, vintage and featuring animals.
Just messing around with the Pudding Camera app, ooh I like it. Its similar to Instagram but has other options like fish eye, which is o.k, not brilliant though. You can select the type of film you want to use and share and transport images easily. Thumbs up for this camera app!
Hurrah a new regular feature! After amassing a vast range on Vintage toy pattern images I need to start sharing these humorous and sometimes disturbing gems. If you find an image of one please email it to firstname.lastname@example.org and I shall share it!

Hours of fun
I am lost for words…
Whoosh another week goes by! Next week is the school holidays and I’m working at the gallery everyday, really excited about leading a workshop Mon + Tue. We will be having fun with stop frame animation painting. Meanwhile here’s some stuff I like. Happy Friday!
