I have recently moved into a new shared studio space and I am surrounded by graphic designers, app designers and other very clever and creative people. I felt a little self conscious at first but feel settled in now and I am happy that my toys get lots of positive attention from my co-workers.
This week I have designed a new character and have nearly finished a wonderful owl like character!
Oh yes and he is a happy little bear made from organic cross weave cotton and a cute nautical sweater, lucky chap.
A few good friends who work in a gallery, one day/night, good cheer, dancing with beautiful people, backs of toilet doors, a toy hamster found in a club and my naked back…

I probably question my career path about 30 times a week and you fall in and out of love with what your making. Some days I’m like ‘yeah I got it’ and others I’m like ‘I suck’. No I’m not as good at drawing as other people and not as good at sewing but I got heart.
This sculpture is 30,000 years old, one of the earliest pieces of 3D art ever found. ‘Lion Human’ Germany.
It is so fascinating to find out your work is similar to early man…

I have found out I can get pretty passionate about what ever I’m doing and I am very irrational. Working with children is the thing that keeps me ploughing on, giving hope, inspiring and encouraging others.
