Hooray it’s Monday, whether you like it or not it’s the idea for a fresh week ahead with endless possibilities. I felt a little uninspired last week and didn’t get any art work done, I’m hoping this week I can knuckle down and get creative.

MY VINTAGE BOOK COLLECTION
An enduring craft and easily workable into any home. From vintage to modern bright prints, paintwork, paper and plain burlap stitched round lampshades I really think there is a patchwork style to suit any interior.
This week we got a miniature Dachshund puppy and called her Margot. The sun has been shining and the house is coming together too. I love my little owl ornament my friend Sarah gave me for my birthday and have been hanging out in the Southsea Coffee Co for the best coffee and pan au raisin in Portsmouth.
I also made a yummy roast vegetable and goats cheese pizza and teamed it with a colourful summer salad. Summer eating is so good and so is a great read like The Simple Things magazine. The article on the London Underground was wonderful and I really want to get hold of some of the prints of poster to display in my home. The London Transport Museum shop has a wonderful selection of posters and other deign pieces.
Tomorrow we are moving house, just down the street though so really not far. Packing up everything still feels like a mountain and Im tired and stressed and just want it to be over.
The plus side is that we will be restyling our interior together in the mid century style and I love a project. I have been eagerly scanning the net for images of inspiration and this is what I found.
Im thinking about having a bit of a rearrange in the house
So make a hot tea and look at these wonderful spaces and lets dream together of a place we can escape to.
Let’s get fresh with some ideas for making super awesome things. It’s not hard just use your hands and begin to create something new.
Sometimes it’s hard to set aside a time for being creative. I find early mornings with a cup of coffee work well and sometimes I just don’t ‘feel’ like I can do it.

I almost squealed today when Josh bought to my attention this beautiful paper in Paperchase. One sheet features cats and the other birds, I knew instantly they would look perfect behind the cube shelves in our lounge. Also I am a sucker for anything kitsch, vintage and featuring animals.
A bit of homely inspiration for a wet Wednesday…
Just messing around with the Pudding Camera app, ooh I like it. Its similar to Instagram but has other options like fish eye, which is o.k, not brilliant though. You can select the type of film you want to use and share and transport images easily. Thumbs up for this camera app!
